Pa. Sheriff Delays Sale Of Foreclosed Homes
MEDIA, Pa. (AP) - A suburban Philadelphia sheriff is postponing a sale of homes facing foreclosure to give homeowners a chance to work things out with their creditors.
Delaware County Sheriff Joseph McGinn said Wednesday that the sheriff's sale previously scheduled for Friday is being postponed until July 17. McGinn says he's urging people facing foreclosure to get credit counseling.
There are 350 properties facing sheriff's sale in the county this month, an 89 percent increase over the 185 in May of last year
