SHSC Names 2009 Prom King And Queen


SF Prom King and Queen Joshua Hall and Elaina Truax SF Prom King and Queen Joshua Hall and Elaina Truax Joshua Hall and Elaina Truax were crowned king and queen Saturday, May 9, at the Southern Fulton prom "Arabian Nights."

Joshua is the son of Marsha and Harold Hall. He lives in Warfordsburg and is active in basketball and baseball. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing basketball, fishing and spending time with his family. He plans to attend Hagerstown Community College to major in radiology.

Elaina is the daughter of Larry and Sue Truax of Needmore, and she attends Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren. She is a member of the basketball team, track and is the National Honor Society president, president of the senior class, member of SF Ensemble, part of the scholastic scrimmage team and has participated in various SF musicals. She is a member of the youth group at her church, is a camp counselor and enjoys having fun with her friends and family. She will be attending Elizabethtown College and is majoring in pre-med in the hopes of someday being a pediatrician.

The prom was a great success, and the SF juniors and prom committee would like to thank the American Legion for its hospitality, Pat Decker for decorations, Mr. Deshong for transporting the bleachers from the fairgrounds, the SF faculty, staff and administration and school board for their help and support, and all of their parents, friends and family for a very enjoyable and memorable event.
