Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

Sunday turned out to be a fairly nice day with only a little coolness.

Sorry to hear we have a couple men who are not doing as well as we would like to hear. So we send get well wishes to Bill Henry and Frank Martz.

The family of the late Herbert and Kate Berkstresser held their reunion at Forbes Road Lions Park on Sunday, May 17. Those attending were Robert and June Bennett of Carlisle; Barbara Torcasco and son Michael and daughter Kristin of Harrisburg; Sandra Holtz and daughter Ava of Philadelphia; Harvey and Pat Berkstresser of McConnellsburg; Bronwyn Mundorf and children Michala, and sons Wyatt, Dakota and Colton of Bedford; John and Heidi Peck and children Haley, Jacob, Joel and Jonah; Danny and Brook Sheeder of Mc- Connellsburg; and Kate Berkstresser.

I wish to thank everyone for the cards and gifts to help celebrate my birthday last week.

Shawn Knepper, son of Henry and Lucinda Knepper of Hustontown, remains a patient in intensive care. He is however improving and now off life support. Please keep in your prayers.

Knobsville United Methodist Church will hold a spaghetti supper Saturday, May 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Come out and enjoy the evening.

Household hint: Natural fabric softener - for a natural fabric softener and static cling, try adding a cup of white vinegar to the final rinse cycle of your wash. It's strong enough to dissolve alkalis in soaps and detergents and also leaves clothes soft and fresh. Add two cups of vinegar to full tub of rinse water if you are doing baby laundry.
