A Todd Township man remains lodged in the Franklin County Prison this week on allegations he raped a 12-year-old girl and exposed himself to and assaulted the girl's younger sister at his Hillside Estates home.

Stephen William Dubree Jr. of 68 Hillside Estates, Mc- Connellsburg, was arraigned Friday before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott on one count each of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child; two counts each of attempted rape of a child, attempted statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated indecent assault, indecent exposure; and 20 counts of indecent assault.

Dubree's bail was set at $200,000 by Judge Mellott. A preliminary hearing originally scheduled for May 15 has been continued until Wednesday, May 27, at 2 p.m.

Charging documents filed last week by criminal investigator Trooper Angela Roher of the Mc- Connellsburg barracks show the alleged activity between the 39- year-old native of South Carolina and the area girls began on January 1, 2009, and ended with the most recent incident on May 2, 2009.

The girls had reportedly spent the night at Dubree's residence many times, according to the affidavit of probable cause. The eldest of the two girls confided to state police that she told Dubree, "I'm 12 and you're 40. You practically molested me." The affidavit further adds that Dubree asked her not to tell anyone.
