What a beautiful weekend! Hope all the mothers got to go out for a Mother's Day dinner!

A large crowd attended the Mother's Day smorgasbord at Hustontown Firehall Sunday. The food was delicious.

Glad to hear Bill Henry was able to come home. Get well wishes, Bill.

A cookout was held at the home of Randy and Trudy Gelvin in honor of Rheon Gelvin's 70th birthday on May 8 and Mother's Day. Those attending were: Randy, Trudy, Dylan and Tristan Gelvin, Patsy and Rheon Gelvin, Jeff Gelvin, Mark and Connie Gelvin, Barry Clark, Steve, Tammy, Brandon, Kailee and Brookelynn Gelvin, Tim and Kathy Gelvin and Brandon, Tracey and Chloe Fletcher.

Our sympathy to the familiy and friends of Evelyn Mort who passed away last week.

It was good to talk with Dick Souders on Sunday at the Hustontown Firehall.

The late Herbert and Kate Berkstresser family reunion will be held next Sunday, May 17, at 1:00 p.m. at the Forbes Road Lions Park building. Hope all family members will be able to come. Those attending should bring a covered dish and place settings.

The Fairview U.M. Church folks will have a barbecue chicken meal on Saturday, May 16, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Knobsville U.M. Church is holding a spaghetti supper on Saturday, May 23, from 4-6 p.m.

Primary Election Day is May 19. Plan to get out and vote so your candidate may get a spot on the fall ballot.

Household hint: Clean oven racks by placing them on an old bath towel in the bathrub and soaking them in a solution of amonia and hot water.
