Tri-State Invitational

Amy Bard racked up several first-place finishes for the Southern Fulton Indians, who tied for third place during last Wednesday's Tri-State Invitational held in Hancock, Md. Bard rallied for first-place wins in the 1600 and 800 meter, while Chelsey Hollenshead captured a first in the pole vault and a fourth-place finish in the 400 meter. Kelsey Truax was second in the 100 hurdles and fifth in the 300 hurdles, and Caitie Mellott was fourth in the 100 meter and second in the 200 meter. Meanwhile, Lacey Beatty totalled fifth in the 1600 meter and a third-place victory in the 3200 meter. Dakota Deneen finished in fifth in the long jump, and teammate Jenna Hollenshead was second in the 800 meter and fifth in the 3200 meter.

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans tied for seventh place with rivals from East Hardy last Wednesday. The 3200 relay team finished in fourth for the Spartans, who also got a fifth-place win from the 400 and 1600 relay teams. Dakota Deneen and Devon Cunningman garnered fifth-place respective wins in the long jump and discus.
