Tri-State Center To Hold Health Fair

Tri-State Community Health Center will be holding its fifth annual health fair on Friday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Rain date: June 5).

This event is free and open to the public. The theme for the day is "Going Green - A New Start to Healthy Living." The health fair will be held in the parking lot around the Tri-State Community Health Center, 130 W. High Street, Hancock, as well as nextdoor in Town Hall.

Lots of activities are planned. There will be music, games, face painting, magic shows, story time, petting zoo and tricycle rodeo in addition to area health vendors and organizations. There will also be health screenings, healthy snacks, prizes, giveaways, and drawings. The grand prize for the day will be a flat panel TV. New this year, Tri- State will staff an Alex's Lemonade Stand to help raise awareness of childhood cancer.

The goal of the event is to have fun but also to educate the community and the surrounding area to the many services that Tri-State Community Health Center has to offer, as well as showcasing many of the area's health and wellness vendors and organizations.
