Hancock 75, Southern Fulton 73

McConnellsburg grabbed a pair of wins Monday during nonleague meets against Southern Fulton and Hancock. Ryan Little had wins for the Spartans in the 100 meter and 200 meter, while Dillan Gordon had victories in the 110 and 300 hurdles and triple jump. Robert Shehan had a pair of wins in the shot put and discus. Johnny Joe Wible took the 800 meter and ran a leg for the 3200 and 1600 relay teams. Teammates in the 3200 relay team are Geoff Campbell, John Goshorn and Tyler Nero, and the 1600 relay team consists of Campbell, Gordon and Little. Meanwhile, Nero was victorious in the 1600 meter.

For the Southern Fulton Indians, Briar Kirk racked up wins in the 3200 meter and pole vault. Josh Wertz and Steven Meyer had respective wins in the long jump and javelin.

Northern Bedford Invitational

Forbes Road competitor Eric Broadwater garnered a sixthplace finish last Friday in the Northern Bedford Invitational in the 1600 meter as the lone Cardinal participant and also an eighth-place finish in the 800 meter. Meanwhile Southern Fulton Indians garnered a thirdplace finish in the 110 hurdles and also finished sixth in the 300 hurdles. The Indians 3200 relay team of Briar Kirk, Matt Garland, Zach Swope and Brian Stanley finished seventh, and Steven Meyer racked up a ninthplace win in the javelin.

Fairfield 76, McConnellsburg 70

Dillan Gordon and Robert Shehan continued their winning ways for the McConnellsburg Spartans, who narrowly dropped a non-league meet to Fairfield last Thursday. Gordon won the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and triple jump and ran a leg for the winning 1600 relay team of Geoff Campbell, Johnny Joe Wible and Ryan Little. Meanwhile, Shehan took the shot put, discus and javelin.

Southern Huntingdon 92,

Southern Fulton 54

Southern Fulton Indian Tim Rohm had a pair of wins in the 100 and 300 hurdles last Thursday during a non-league 92-54 loss to the Southern Huntingdon Rockets. Josh Wertz took first in the 200 meter, and Briar Kirk won the 3200 meter and ran a leg for the victorious 3200 relay team of Matt Garland, Brian Stanley and Zach Swope.

Everett 76, McConnellsburg 55

McConnellsburg 76,

West Branch 52

McConnellsburg dropped a non-league meet to Everett but in the meantime edged out West Branch last Tuesday. Scores tallied against Conemaugh Township were unavailable. Robert Shehan tallied a pair of victories in the shot put and discus, while Ryan Little and Dillan Gordon had respective wins in the 400 meter and 100 hurdles. The 3200 relay team of Jeff Campbell, Johnny Joe Wible, John Goshorn and Tyler Nero also garnered a first-place victory.
