Gasoline Taken In Retail Theft

A total of $19 in gasoline was stolen from Getty Mart in Ayr Township during an incident of retail theft that occurred on Tuesday, April 7, at 8:19 p.m. Anyone having additional information pertinent to this case should contact Fulton County Crime Solvers at 717-485-5771 or Trooper Wadsworth at 717-485- 3131.

Driver Cited After Route 30 Collision

A State College, Pa., man was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic last Wednesday following a single-vehicle collision along Route 30 near the Mountain House Bar and Grill. Driver Guruprasad Jakka, 25, lost control of his vehicle at 5 a.m. while negotiating a curve in the roadway. His 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt went onto the berm where it struck a utility pole. Jakka and passenger Nanda Kesanam, 21, of Clarks Summit, were wearing seat belts and escaped injury.

McConnellsburg Men Face Assault Charges

Twenty-one-year-old McConnellsburg resident Alfred B. Claggett Jr. faces charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a series of incidents along Woodside Drive on Wednesday, April 8. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Antonio Everette McNear of Mc- Connellsburg also faces charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct

State police reported, Claggett and McNear were involved in a physical fight in the parking lot of the Cardinal Glenn Apartments at 10:20 p.m. Claggett suffered moderate injuries to his mouth, and McNear sustained moderate injuries to his nose and eyes.

In addition, Claggett was found to possess a small amount of marijuana during the incident as well as a multi-colored metal pipe containing suspected marijuana residue. Charges against Claggett and McNear were filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Computer Reported Missing

A 16-year-old girl from Doylesburg informed state police last week her Hewlitt Packard Invent computer, an "Akon" music compact disc and two DVDs were stolen from a Dublin Township residence located at 1271 Sheepskin Hollow Road, Fort Littleton. The theft occurred between 9 a.m. on January 28 and 10:30 a.m. on April 5. Teens Transported To Hospital

A 17-year-old female driver and her 15-year-old female passenger were transported to Fulton County Medical Center on Thursday, April 9, after suffering moderate injuries during a single vehicle crash along Tower Road.

The teens, according to state police, were travelling at a "high rate of speed" along the Buchanan State Forest roadway in Todd Township at 1:16 p.m. Their northbound 2000 Ford Ranger went out of control, crossed onto the berm and struck an embankment. The truck was disabled as a result of damage sustained. Neither of the girls, who were residents of Franklin County, were wearing seat belts. The driver will be charged by state police with careless driving.

Mailboxes Damaged

A total of six mailboxes located in Bethel, Thompson and Union townships were damaged on Tuesday, April 7, at approximately 8 p.m. Damage has been estimated at $180. Fencing Stolen

White fencing valued at $200 was stolen from the 1792 Layton Road property of Brush Creek Township resident Robert T. Layton on Tuesday, April 7, at 8 p.m. Layton, 75, also told state police, two metal mailboxes valued at $78 and one plastic mailbox valued at $20 were stolen as well. Parked Vehicle Struck

A legally parked 1995 Buick was struck by a 1995 Ford Contour backing out of a parking spot at 802 E. Poplar Street, Mc- Connellsburg Borough, on Saturday, April 11, at 12:27 a.m. State police noted the driver of the vehicle was wearing a seat belt but did not provide the individual's name. Damage to both vehicles was minor.

Mailbox Damaged

A mailbox located along Gobblers Run Road in Belfast Township was damaged on March 31 at 2:30 p.m. Victim of the mischief was Christy Bishop, who valued the mailbox at $20. Businesses Charged With False Alarms

Two McConnellsburg Borough businesses face charges of false alarms after they had in excess of three false alarms in a consecutive 12-month period. Those charged with control of alarm devices and automatic dialing devices include F&M Trust at 100 Lincoln Way East and Lincoln Way Pizza, 101 Crystal Drive.

State Police Investigate Child Assault

State police at the McConnellsburg barracks were dispatched to Fulton County Medical Center last week to investigate allegations of simple assault involving a 1-year-old Three Springs boy. The boy was brought into the emergency room on Saturday, April 11, at 8:48 p.m. after sustaining the injuries at an apartment at 225 Shirley Street in the Mount Union Borough of Huntingdon County between 3 p.m. on April 8 and 3:30 p.m. on April 9. After conducting the initial investigation, the case has been turned over to state police in Huntingdon for further investigation.

Hustontown Man Charged With Assault, Harassment

Fifty-one-year-old Edward Eugene Saylor of Hustontown faces charges of simple assault and harassment as a result of an alleged altercation during a child custody exchange in front of Keller's Country Store along Waterfall Road, Hustontown. Edward Saylor has been charged through the office of Magisterial District Judge Devin Horne.

Edward Saylor reportedly grabbed Misty Dawn Saylor, 26, of McConnellsburg around the neck with both hands and lifted her off the ground on Sunday, April 12, at 6 p.m. Misty Saylor was pushed into the business' car wash where her head was slammed on a brick wall three to five times.

In addition, Edward Allen Metcalf, 40, also of Hustontown, attempted to call 911 during the dispute and was allegedly grabbed around the arm and neck by Edward Saylor. No injuries were sustained by Metcalf.

One Cited With Underage Drinking

Eighteen-year-old Gettysburg resident Clay Richard Colvard has been cited with underage drinking. State police said Colvard reportedly drank alcoholic beverages at the Cardinal Glenn Apartments in Ayr Township on Sunday, April 12, at 12:50 a.m.

Warfordsburg Woman Cited For Dog-Related Issue

Beverly DeLade, 38, of Warfordsburg will be cited for confinement of dogs after her dog was observed by state police running in the median strip of Interstate 70 in Bethel Township Monday, April 13, at 10:42 p.m. Charges against DeLade will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Carol Jean Johnson.
