Mandy Benner of Middleburg and Lamar Hege of McConnellsburg are engaged to be married on August 8 at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown.

She is the daughter of Timothy and Penny Benner of Middleburg. She is a 1988 graduate of Penn View Christian Academy and a 2004 graduate of McCann School of Business. She is employed as a billing clerk at Central Susquehanna Surgical Specialists, Lewisburg.

Lamar is the son of Aletha Hege of Seminole, Ala., and the late Jay Hege. He attended Huyett's Mennonite School and is a self-employed dairy farmer.
