Shade 83, McConnellsburg 61

Two McConnellsburg Lady Spartans garnered first-place finishes last Thursday during Mc- Connellsburg's 83-61 non-league meet loss to Shade. Hope Blue won the 100 and 300 hurdles, and Michelle Baker rallied for wins in the 800 and 1600 meter. Teammate A'Leese Dickerson finished with a first-place win in the shot put, and Jess Nero rounded out the day with a six-foot vault in the pole vault.

Berlin 127, McConnellsburg 22

Sarah Brady had the lone victory for the McConnellsburg Spartans, who were unsuccessful last Tuesday in a non-league match against Berlin. Brady took the high jump event during the 127-22 loss to Berlin.

Southern Fulton 114, Hancock 49,

Faith Christian 37,

Berkeley Springs 33

Southern Fulton easily handled its quad meet components last Tuesday, defeating Hancock, Faith Christian and Berkeley Springs. Amy Bard and Lacey Beatty both logged two wins during the non-league meet as did teammates Crystal Appel and Caitie Mellott. Bard had wins in the 400 and 800 meter and was a leg in the winning 1600 and 3200 relay teams. Beatty took the 1600 and 3200 meter, and Mellott placed first in the 100 and 200 meter. Appel took first place in the shot put and discus, and Chelsey Hollenshead racked up a victory in the pole vault. Courtney Strait won the javelin.
