Bean, who passed away last week. She was a great lady to be with.

Sorry to hear Red Bookheimer is not doing so well lately. We send get well wishes to him.

Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor a food auction on Friday evening, April 10, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Kitchen will open at 5:00 p.m. Assorted food items will be for sale. The fire company appreciates your support.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a regular shooting match and hog shoot on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Must shoot all 10 regular rounds to qualify for hog round. No guns less than a 640 choke and no sleeved guns. If any doubt, guns will be checked.

The United Methodist Parish Holy Thursday service with Pastor Mike Baumgardner speaking will be at 7:00 p.m. at Center Parish. Good Friday services with Pastor Bill speaking will be 7:00 p.m. at Clear Ridge United Methodist Church. Parish Easter sunrise services will be at 6:30 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church. Parish Easter breakfast following sunrise services at fairview. Easter worship services at 8:30 a.m. at Knobs-ville, followed by worship services at Fairview at 10:00 a.m.

Household hint: Baby oil barrier. If you're likely to encounter gnats while outside, rub a thin film of baby oil on all exposed skin before heading out. It forms a barrier against gnat bites.
