Sharpe To Begin Full-Time Ministry

Ed Sharpe retired from LEAD on April 3 after 30 years with the federal government. He has been serving as a part-time local pastor with the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church for 11 years and has chosen to enter the ministry as a full-time pastor.

Sharpe has served the Amberson United Methodist Church for the past 11 years in a parttime capacity and will now be serving its pastoral needs on a full-time basis. He continues his seminary education process at the Course of Study School of Ohio, a joint venture of the Methodist Theological School of Ohio and United Theological Seminary in Dayton. He resides in McConnellsburg with his wife, Jenny, and son Matthew and beloved Dalmatian "Frickles."

His retirement will enable him to follow his passion, which is to preach the word of God and serve the needs of God's people.
