Historical Society Meeting Author Burt Kummerow of Baltimore will share highlights and local stories from the new 2008 book "Pennsylvania's Forbes Trail: Gateways and Getaways along the Legendary Route from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh" at the Fulton County Historical Society meeting Friday night, April 24, at Hustontown Firehall. A few books will be available for purchase. The book commemorates 250 years of the old Forbes Trail 1758-2008 but also features 40 themed tours of enjoyable spots to visit today not far off the original trail. His talk will begin about 7:15 p.m. following the meal and brief business meeting.
Farm Women Meeting Fulton County Society of Farm Women will meet April 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Barb Leese. The program for this meeting will be planning for the 50th-year convention that will be held in May. The meeting is open to all women who have an interest in the rural lifestyle.
