Norma E. Rash

Warfordsburg, 88

Norma Evelyn Rash, 88, formerly of Warfordsburg and a resident of Penn Knoll Village, Everett, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Penn Knoll.

Born December 28, 1920, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Gaylen "Brownie" and Catherine Elizabeth Spiker Shaw and the widow of J. Lawrence Rash, who died in 1991.

She was a homemaker and a member of Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence E. Rash, Everett; two halfsisters: Delores Lowe, Shepherdstown, W.Va.; Debbie Michael, Berkeley Springs; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Philip R. Rash; three sisters: Anna Jean Murray Pierce, Marie Weller and Nancy Koogle; two brothers: Jim and Harold Shaw; and a half-brother, Gaylen B. Shaw Jr.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m., at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Rev. Tim Close officiated. Burial was made in Warfordsburg Presbyterian Cemetery.
