Bid Results Announced For Resurfacing Contract

PennDOT has announced the bid results for a contract to resurface approximately 11 miles of roadway on Route 829 in Wells, Taylor and Ayr townships in Fulton County and Wood, Clay, Cassville and Cass townships as well as Cassville Borough in Huntingdon County.

Grannas Brothers Contracting Co. Inc. of Hollidaysburg was the lowest of four bidders with a winning bid amount of $1.5 million. This work will be completed with 100 percent state money.

The work on this project consists of the resurfacing of approximately 11 miles of roadway. In Huntingdon County there will be approximately five miles of roadway resurfaced on routes 829, 3019 and 913. In Fulton County approximately 5.5 miles of roadway will be resurfaced on routes 913, 4019 and 522.

This work is anticipated to begin in the spring, with a completion date of late August.
