Hustontown

Since spring arrived on Friday and it started with nice weather.

There was a large attendance at Hustontown Fire Co.'s banquet

on Saturday evening. They served a very good meal also. Entertainment

of highlights of the fire company's service was enjoyed by all. We are grateful for our great fire company. They are always on call to help those in need, which is all volunteer work.

Hustontown Fire Co. is sponsoring an open stage program on Saturday evening, March 28 at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Come out and support them and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Dorothy Hykes and also to the Jim Camp family.

Sorry to hear Alice Walker is still not feeling so well. We send get well wishes her way.

Glad to see Paul Byers was able to attend the fire company banquet on Saturday. Hope he continues to improve.

Sorry to hear Joseph Wilson was injured at work and is a patient at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. His address is Room 322, 361 Alexander Road, Carlisle, PA 17015.

Easter egg hunt and pizza party will be held at Knobsville United Methodist Church Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 a.m.

Center United Methodist Church will hold an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 4, at 9:00 a.m. for all ages.

Sideling Hill Parish Sunday evening services will be March 29 at Fairview United Methodist Church. Guest speaker is Rev. Bruce Maxwell, chaplain of Trucking Travel Ministry in Breezewood. Everyone is welcome.

Household hint: Food cooks more evenly in a round dish in a microwave. A shallow dish also cooks more evenly then a deep one and any dish cooks slower in the center than at the edges. Give preference to dishes with straight rather than sloping sides.
