Woman Burned, Show Dogs Killed In Blaze

CLAYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A western Pennsylvania woman is recovering from burns to her legs in a house fire that killed 10 show dogs the woman owned.

Donegal Township police say 67-year-old Dorothy Digby is at UPMC Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire which was reported about 6 p.m. Sunday.

Digby lived in the home with her granddaughter, who was attending a dog show in New York when the fire occurred.

It was not immediately clear what breed of dogs were killed in the fire.
