Southern Fulton FBLA Eligible For Conference

Eleven members and the chapter advisors, Ms. Booth and Mr. Pepple, of the Southern Fulton Future Business Leaders of America attended the 2009 Pennsylvania FBLA Regional Leadership Conference on January 5, 2009, at Shippensburg University. As a result of this conference, four members are now eligible to participate at the 2009 Pennsylvania FBLA State Leadership Conference March 30, to April 1, 2009, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey, Pa.

The two-member team of Megan Deneen and Natalie Keebaugh competing in Banking and Financial Systems placed first. Other members competing and qualifying for the SLC were Serena Bishop first place in Accounting II and Sarah Anne Null first place in Spreadsheet Applications. Other members in attendance that placed at the RLC but were not eligible to attend the SLC were Tara Wadusky, Brittany Smith, Kelsi Swope and Carissa Gordon.

The Future Business Leaders of America is a national career and technical student organization whose mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. The 12 members of the Southern Fulton chapter are a part of the Pennsylvania membership of approximately 13,000 students in nearly 290 schools.
