Michael W. James
Michael W. James, 42, died unexpectedly due to a snowmobile accident on Saturday, February 21, 2009.
Born August 28, 1966, in Lyons, N.Y., he was a son of the Doris Yonker James, Lyons, N.Y., and the late John M. James.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Calabrese) Yonker; two daughters: Kayla and Kristin, both at home; his mother, Doris James, Lyons, N.Y.; a sister, Michelle (Rick) Newville, Lyons; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom (Linda) Calabrese, Albion, and Terri (David) Bumham, Lyons; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, John M. James, on April 19, 2003, and maternal and paternal grandparents and also his mother-in-law, Gen Calabrese.
He was a veteran of the Navy from 1986 to 1990 and a member of the VFW War Dads; a member of the Lyons Rotary Ducks Unlimited, Lyons Elks (BPOE) and was active in the community.
He was president and CEO of the Jamko Technical Solution Inc., Jamko International. He especially enjoyed the Stillwater Reservoir in the Adirondacks and enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling and boating.
He was of the Catholic faith.
The Weeks-Keysar Funeral Home, Lyons, was in charge of arrangements. A Mass of Christian service was held on Friday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m., at the Michael's Church. Burial was private and at the convenience of the family.
