Lois J. Westover
Born November 28, 1937, at Clearfield, she was the daughter of Thomas H. and Roxanna (Hoyt) Schultz.
She was a homemaker and had retired from Central Intermediate Unit No. 10, Philipsburg. She was also a "Granny Reader" for the Harmony Elementary School reading program.
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church, where she aassisted in the nursery and kindergarten class and served with her late first husband as youth counselor in the youth fellowship.
She was a former member of Clearfield NON Club and the Order of the Eastern Star Clearfield Chapter No. 379, and was a member of Westover Golden Age.
On May 18, 2000, at Mount Zion Methodist Church, Mahaffey, she wed Lemoine E. Westover, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Rev. J. Tim Hoover and his wife, Nancy, Mount Pleasant; Thomas A. Hoover and his wife, Christine, Hershey; and Kerri B. Beck and her husband, Brian, LaJose; four stepchildren: Randy C. Westover and his wife, Pamela, Curwensville; James E. Westover and his wife, Renee, LaJose; Janis Weller and her husband, Steve, Needmore; and Barry L. Westover, Pittsburgh; six grandchildren: Ashley, Ian and Andrew Hoover, Brianna, Devin and Jaylee Beck; five step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert T. Schultz and his wife, Catherine and James A. Schultz and his wife, Linda, all of Clearfield; a half-sister, Evelyn Zitzelberger, and her husband, Edward, Ohio; and eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, John J. Hoover, who died in 1981.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 7, at 11:00 a.m., at The Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield. Rev. Douglas A. Turner officiated. Burial was made in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
