Judge Van Horn Presides Over March 3 Court

Judge Carol L. Van Horn of the 39th Judicial District of the Fulton County Court of Common Pleas presided over a court session held on Tuesday, March 3, at the Fulton County Courthouse.

Quentin Adam DeShong failed to appear for arraignment proceedings. A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of DeShong, who is charged with driving under the influence.

Elton Eugene Guyer appeared with his attorney and pleaded guilty to charges of driving under the influence. Guyer was sentenced last Tuesday to between three days and six months in the Franklin County Prison.

Walter Edwin Branche appeared without legal counsel for a probation/parole-violation hearing. Branche's hearing was continued until March 10.

Troy Ryan Geis appeared with his attorney for sentencing on charges of recklessly endangering another person. Geis will complete between 30 days and 23 months in the Franklin County Prison and will also pay $750 in fines.

Daniel Ray Nazelrod III appeared with legal counsel and was ordered to complete 12 months probation and 40 hours of community service with the manufacture, delivery or possession of drugs.

Joseph Anthony Scavone appeared with his attorney and was sentenced to 24 months in the intermediate punishment program for retail theft.
