Grissinger-Ott Family Holds Reunion
The families of the late Allen and Adaline (Ott) Grissinger held their annual reunion on June 22, 2008, at the Dublin Mills Community Church pavilion with 41 members attending.
Vice president Jim Grissinger called the families together, with Cory Spade asking the blessing for the food and the families attending.
We were pleased to see family members who have not been there for several years, but also disappointed that many members from last year were unable to attend.
After a delicious buffet lunch, a short business meeting was held with vice president Jim Grissinger officiating. Officers are to remain the same for another year, with Denny Long as president; Jim Grissinger, vice president; and secretary/treasurer Pat Rankin.
Gifts were given to the following: eldest man - John Curfman, 84 years; eldest woman - Mary Knepper, 92 years; married longest - Chester and Irene Grissinger, 59 years; most recently married - Jarrett and Stephanie Naugle, September 16, 2006; youngest child - Jesse Paul Grissinger, nine months; traveled the farthest - Clarence and Nancy Shade, Aliquippa, Pa.
The trophy again went to the Martin and Violet Grissinger family with 19 members present. There were 13 from Ira's family; eight from Jesse's; three from Julia's and none from Harvey, Clara or Philip's families.
Those attending were John Curfman Sr., John Curfman Jr. and his two daughters, Three Springs; Carol Ramsey, Jo and Sharon Snyder, Hustontown; Maxine Wright, Heather, Meagan and Aaron Kough, Cassville; Connie Tamollo, Loretto, Pa.; Fred and Violet Culler, Selinsgrove; Jane Black and Mary Knepper, McConnellsburg; Guy, Louise and Walter Naugle, Felton, Pa.; Ellen Naugle, Fern and Teresa Naugle, Mapleton Depot; Stephanie and Jerret Myers, Pasadena, Md.; Howard and Barbara Naugle, Sarver, Pa.; Jim, Teresa and Amanda Grissinger, Jesse Grissinger, Chester and Irene Grissinger, all of Huntingdon; Cameron and Olivia Grissinger, Somerset; Betty Viener, Orbisonia; Clarence and Nancy Shade, Aliquippa, Pa.; Coy and Dorothy Spade, Needmore; Pat Rankin and Eva Cornelius, Chambersburg.
