Tobacco Found at CF

Three male teenagers, ages 14, 15 and 16, all from Mc- Connellsburg, were found in possession of tobacco at the Central Fulton School District on Saturday, February 21, at 10 a.m. Charges against the three were filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.

Woman Cited After Crash Investigation

State police have concluded their investigation into a two-vehicle crash that left a Harrisonville woman with serious injuries on February 12. Nicole Marie Keefer, 23, of McConnellsburg has been charged with accidents involving personal injury while not properly licensed in connection with the accident along Route 16 that injured Joyce Wright, 71, who was a passenger in a vehicle operated by her husband, Bob Wright. The Wright family's 2006 Toyota Scion was struck headon by a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by Keefer.

Crystal Spring Woman Not Charged

Seventy-four-year-old Alice Clark Fox of Crystal Spring informed state police Casey Ann Clark, 28, also of Crystal Spring forced her way into her 13136 Old 126 home on Sunday, February 22, at 4 p.m. Fox requested that charges not be filed against Clark in connection with the trespassing incident.

Building Struck

The corner of a building owned by Hilltop Tower Leasing located along Route 1005 in Todd Township was struck by an unknown vehicle between mid-November 2008 and Tuesday, February 24. Wells Tannery Woman Cited In Crash

A 19-year-old Wells Tannery girl was cited for driving at a safe speed as a result of a single-vehicle crash along Sinoquipe Road on Sunday, February 15, according to state police.

Chelsey L. Berkstresser lost control of her westbound 1999 Pontiac Grand Am at 2:50 a.m. while rounding a left-hand curve in the Dublin Township roadway. Berkstresser's car ran onto the berm, where it struck a tree with its right side.

Berkstresser suffered minor injuries, and passenger Kodi G. Gartland, 22, of Hustontown, sustained moderate injuries. Berkstresser was wearing a seat belt, and it is unknown if Gartland was using a seat belt.

Quarters Stolen

Numerous quarters were stolen from a vending machine located at the Ultimate Car Wash in Todd Township between 8:30 p.m. on on February 25 and 7:30 a.m. on February 26. Two Teens Charged

Two 14-year-old boys were cited for harassment on Wednesday, February 25, at 7:45 a.m. after they allegedly struck one another in the head at Southern Fulton High School. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Carol Jean Johnson.

Accident Victim Flown To Altoona

A Needmore area man was flown to Altoona Regional Hospital after crashing his motorcycle along Great Cove Road on Horseshoe Turn in Belfast Township last Wednesday.

State police reported 39-yearold Dick M. Gordon was wearing a helmet but suffered injuries during the 3 p.m. crash on February 25. Police added the severity of his injuries was unknown.

The accident occurred when Gordon lost control of his southbound 2004 Kawasaki Ninja, which rolled onto its right side. Gordon fell off the unit and slid approximately 72 feet in the southbound lane. He will be cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Prescription Medication Stolen

Thirty prescription pills and a Samsung cellular phone were stolen from the 18740 Lincoln Highway, McConnellsburg, residence of 32-year-old Travis Donald Smith on January 27 between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The burglars entered Smith's home through a front door. Car Strikes Tree

A Breezewood man suffered moderate injuries when his northbound 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity struck a tree along a Wells Township roadway. Travis L. Tew, 32, was transported to Altoona Regional Hospital following the February 26 crash along Route 915. Tew was not wearing a seat belt in the 11:33 p.m. accident. He will be charged by state police with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Salt Bucket Taken

A salt bucket was stolen from the 3068 Breezy Point Road porch of Dale Harvey Hoover, 56, of McConnellsburg on Saturday, February 28, at 4:24 p.m. The suspect, state police related, is a male juvenile from Altoona. Man Cited For Underage Drinking

A 19-year-old McConnellsburg man, who was not identified by state police, was cited for underage drinking in connection with an incident on Sunday, March 1. The man, state police reported, was being interviewed at 6:15 p.m. for another incident when it was discovered he had consumed alcohol earlier in the day.

Unknown Vehicle Strikes Sign

An unknown vehicle collided with a sign along Lincoln Way East in Ayr Township on Saturday, February 28, at 7:58 a.m. The vehicle then fled the scene. Truck Collides With Utility Pole

A Warfordsburg man will be charged by state police with driving on roadways laned for traffic in connection with his westbound 1994 Chevrolet Silverado colliding with a fence and a utility pole along Buck Valley Road. Driver Carl E. Reed, 59, was wearing a seat belt during the Saturday, February 28, crash at 5 p.m. He was not injured.

Saxton Man Stopped For DUI

A Saxton area man was arrested by McConnellsburg state police for driving under the influence during a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 26 and Pole Cat Hollow Road in Hopewell Township, Bedford County. Wesley L. Crooks, 40, was initially stopped for a traffic equipment violation on Sunday, February 22, at 1:55 a.m., state police related.

Man Cited For Theft At Liquor Stole

Twenty-eight-year-old Joshua Eugene Jones, who has no permanent address, was sent to the Franklin County Prison in lieu of bail following a retail theft at the Wine and Spirits Store in Ayr Township last Friday. Jones, according to state police, allegedly attempted to steal a bottle of Jose Cuervo and a bottle of Jegermeister without paying for them at 2 p.m. The items were valued at $32.98.

Two Charged With Harassment

Two McConnellsburg residents were cited by state police for harassment on Friday, February 27, at 3:20 p.m. at a location along Cooper Lane in Todd Township. The suspects were listed by state police as a 25- year-old woman and a 25-yearold man, who reportedly shoved one another.

Access Device Fraud Investigated

Hustontown resident Bobbie Grubb, 33, informed state police an unknown individual utilized her bank card to withdraw $1,300 in cash from her bank account at the Hustontown branch of F&M Trust between February 16 and 26. Car Runs Over Bush

Wendy Kline of McConnellsburg told state police she ran over a bush when she swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle in her lane of traffic along Route 16 on Saturday, February 16. Kline's eastbound 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier ran off the Ayr Township roadway at 4:13 p.m. Her car was able to be driven from the accident scene.

Car Ends Up In Ditch

A 1998 Ford Escort came to a final rest in a drainage ditch along Route 30 just east of Jerry Road on Saturday, February 28, according to state police. The eastbound car driven by Timothy D. Bowers Jr., 29, of Mc- Connellsburg went down a slight embankment in Brush Creek Township before running into a ditch at 1 a.m. Bowers was wearing a seat belt. He will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Eighteen-Year-Old Charged With DUI

Eighteen-year-old Casey F. DeShong was released to his father after being charged with driving under the influence and driving on roadways laned for traffic on Sunday, March 1, at 3:22 p.m. State police reported DeShong was arrested after his northbound 1997 Ford Escort ran off Great Cove Road and into a ditch. The car was towed from the scene by Lilley's Towing.

Home Burglarized

The Howard James Cogswell residence located at 2203 Valley High Road in Brush Creek Township was burglarized between 6:30 p.m. on November 4, 2008, and 7:40 p.m. on March 1.
