Spring Card Workshop The Parks and Recreation Commission and Stampin' Up demonstrator Dana Smith will be holding a spring card workshop on Sunday, April 5, from 2-5 p.m. at old McConnellsburg High School. Projects will focus on Easter and Mother's and Father's Day. Cost is $15 for residents of Ayr, Dublin, Thompson, Taylor, Todd and Licking Creek townships and McConnellsburg boro. Cost to all others, including out-of-county, is $17. Registration and payment must be received by April 1. Only 10 slots open! Call 717-552-0071 to register.

Hunter/Trapper Education Course The Hunter/Trapper Education course will be offered March 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and March 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. This is the first of three courses for Fulton County. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday. Preregistration is required by going to http://www.pgc.state.pa.us and click on Hunter Education. Free, Big-screen Web Seminar A free, big-screen Web seminar, "Wildlife Habitat on Your Property," will be held March 10, at 7:00 pm at the Bureau of Forestry, District Office, Buchanan Trail (next to JLG), McConnellsburg. The PA Forests Web Seminar Center provides Webbased educational programs and materials for forest owners, extension educators and natural resource professionals. The center's goal is to offer "live" seminars on forest resource related topics. Forest landowners can expect to learn how to enhance their properties for wildlife, while preventing wildlife/human conflicts close to their dwellings. Beat the Winter Blues Workshops for Kids Join Fulton County 4- H for a series of one-day workshops. All workshops are open to the public but are limited to ten kids between ages 8 and 18 per class. Cost is $10 per workshop for supplies. Schedule: March 14 - Breads from Around the World. Registrations accepted up to the day before each class but to guarantee your place call ASAP. Angel Food Ministries There will be sign-up for the March menu and specials for Angel Food Ministries at Fulton County Catholic mission. Times will be Tuesday, March 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, March 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church and Saturday, March 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you eat, you qualify. Workshop Fulton County Library will hold a five-week session of Family Place Parent/Child Workshops for children ages birth to 4 years of age beginning March 6. CF Registration Central Fulton School District will hold registration for the 2009-2010 school year on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday, March 26, 27, 30 and 31. Children who will be age 4 on or before August 26 are eligible for the 4K program and children who will be age 5 on or before August 26, 2009, are eligible for kindergarten (5K). Please note that students who are currently enrolled in the 4K program, do not need to re-register for 5K. Please contact Stacy Morton at 485- 4438, ext. 244, to schedule an appointment.

Lifeguard Recertification Recertification for lifeguards will be May 9 and May 16 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the James Buchanan pool. More information may be obtained by calling Mrs. Kendall at 485-0221 or 485-4530, ext. 343.

AARP Tax Aide Free tax help for taxpayers with middle and low income will be available at the old Fulton Theatre, in back of F&M Bank on North Second Street, McConnellsburg, every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Free e-filing. Taxes will be done for any age. No rentals, farms or businesses will be done. More information may be obtained by calling 987-3915. Do not have to be an AARP member. No parking on F&M's parking lot.
