Our sympathy is extended to the family of Julia Covert. She touched a lot of hearts and lives throughout her years of public service.

The Three Springs gang made its annual journey to Mardi Gras last week. Enjoying the warm weather and sightseeing were Randy Anderson, Gene Park, Roy Stevens and foreign exchange student Sebastian from Switzerland.

Tom, Mamie and Kristi Streightiff and Steve and Karen Grissinger attended the SHC girls basketball game in St. Francis on Friday evening. The group enjoyed dining at The Dream Restaurant in Hollidaysburg.

Roger and Pat Ramsey had lunch with Brian and Emily Ramsey at the Path Valley Restaurant on Sunday.

Tom Cohenour provided special music for the worship service at Walnut Grove Church on Sunday.

Immanuel Bible Church youths and adults enjoyed snowtubing at Whitetail Resort near Mercersburg on Saturday morning. Maddison Wible and Tammy Grissinger recovered on Saturday afternoon with a couch movie.

Adam, Amanda, Toryn, Cameron and Brayden Locke also enjoyed some time on the slopes.

Brent and Becca Carlson visited with Steve Grissinger on Sunday afternoon.

The Dixie Melody Boys will be at Immanuel Bible Church on April 3, beginning at 7 p.m.

Tammy Grissinger had dinner with Emily and Mason Mentzer of Aspers on Tuesday evening at Panera Bread in Chambersburg.

While attending a large farm auction near Carlisle on Saturday, Steve and Karen Grissinger visited with Brian and Ken Fraker, Kenny Wilson, Dave Seiders and Dickie Glenn.

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 8. We lose an hour of sleep but gain an hour of daylight in the evenings. It makes spring seem even closer.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be hosting a turkey dinner on March 22 beginning at 11 a.m.
