Kassie Stermer celebrated her 10th birthday at a sleepover with five friends and her sister, Krystal, on Friday night. Her grandmothers from Ohio and Wilkes Barre visited the weekend. She is the daughter of Wade and Carrie Stermer.

The family of Don and Doris Ray enjoyed a meal at the Texas Roadhouse in Hagerstown on Saturday, February 28, to celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on March 1.

Jeron Fletcher, son of Jeremy and Nicole Fletcher, will celebrate his second birthday on March 10.

Sympathy goes out to Kitty Hann, whose mother passed away and to Jerry and Debbie Reed on the death of Debbie's father recently.

Denny and LeeAnn Pollock and Jeremy, Nicole and Jeron Fletcher attended the basketball game in Michigan recently between Michigan State and Wisconsin, with Michigan State coming from behind and winning by 11 points. They also attended the ceremony of the 1979 National Team and saw Magic Johnson. They visited with Jordan Ott and returned home last Monday.

Jack Buterbaugh was admitted to Fulton County Medical Center with pneumonia last week.

Mike Decker had heart surgery in Chambersburg last Thursday.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were basketball players Lacey Beatty and Brooke Whiteside of Southern Fulton.

Linda Yeager is at home recuperating after a fall last week while walking her dog, that broke her hip. She was operated on at Washington County Hospital.

A birthday party was held on Saturday night at the FOVA for Cathy Deshong. It was given by her family.

Toby McGarvey has been employed at Letterkenny Depot for 30 years this past week. He was hired while in the co-op program in high school.

Country shortcuts: Jazz up boxed macaroni and cheese. Stir in chopped cooked chicken breast, thawed broccoli florets and a little Dijon or honey mustard, heat through.
