The snow passed us by over the weekend. I guess everyone was glad.

It was good to have a nice attendance at Knobsville Church Sunday. But sorry to report our pastor, Bill Kuhn, was on the ill

list Sunday. We hope he will be recovered soon. Peter Rusick was the

speaker on Sunday morning.

Happy birthday wishes to Tammy Cook on February 26; Charlotte Crouse, on February 28, whose birthday is on leap year, February 29; and Bronwyn Mundorf on March 1.

Glad to report Mrs. Don Berkstresser of Needmore is on the improvement list. She has been in the hospital for a few days. Hope she will be completely recovered and home this week.

Congratulations to the Forbes Road seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball team on winning the Everett tournament on Saturday. Forbes defeated Southern Fulton for the championship win.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Adam Holtz, who were married on Saturday. Mrs. Holtz was formerly Sandra Bennett.The wedding took place in Philadelphia, where they will be living.

Big bingo bonanza at Hustontown Firehall April 26. Doors open at noon. The kitchen will be open.

If you are not registered to vote, the last day to register before the primary is April 20.

We are glad to report Marvin DeShong is doing well after having hip replacement.

Hustontown Fire Co. still has afghans for sale. Colors are cranberry, green and navy blue. Pictured on them are pictures of Hustontown history. Call 987- 3108 or 987-3115 to order.

Household hint: If a blender push button doesn't work, get a can of electrical contact cleaner, often called tuner cleaner, from an appliance parts store. With the unit unplugged, spray a little on each side of the button. After it seeps in, press the button on and off several times.
