Free Blood Pressure Screenings Free blood pressure screenings will be given at the following locations: Home Care Office, 213 South Second Street, McConnellsburg, the first Tuesday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; McConnellsburg Senior Center the first Thursday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Hann's Apartments the second Monday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Warfordsburg Senior Center the third Wednesday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Hustontown Senior Center the third Thursday of every month from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
WIN Support Group Women In Need (WIN) will be offering a support group for victims of domestic and sexual violence that is focused on life skills. Each session will address ways to help participants decrease stress and create healthier daily habits. The planned topics will include computer skills, resume writing, interview skills, budgeting, balancing checkbooks and self-care. Participants will be encouraged by Women In Need staff and other participants while learning these helpful skills. This free group will be held Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting on March 26 and will run for seven weeks. More information, or to register, may be obtained by calling 264-3056.
