Hunter/Trapper Education Course The Hunter/Trapper Education course will be offered March 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and March 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fulton County Pistol and Rifle Club. This is the first of three courses for Fulton County. Bring a bag lunch for Saturday. Preregistration is required by going to http://www.pgc.state.pa.us and click on Hunter Education. Beat the Winter Blues Workshops for Kids Join Fulton County 4- H for a series of one-day workshops. All workshops are open to the public but are limited to ten kids between ages 8 and 18 per class. Cost is $10 per workshop for supplies. Schedule: Feb. 28 - Kids and Kash (financial management); and March 14 - Breads from Around the World. The Feb. 21 - Cake Decorating 101 program will NOT be held as scheduled and will be rescheduled if there is an interest. Angel Food Ministries There will be sign-up for the March menu and specials for Angel Food Ministries at Fulton County Catholic mission. Times will be Tuesday, March 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, March 11, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church and Saturday, March 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you eat, you qualify. Workshop Fulton County Library will hold a five-week session of Family Place Parent/Child Workshops for children ages birth to 4 years of age beginning March 6. CF Registration Central Fulton School District will hold registration for the 2009-2010 school year on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday, March 26, 27, 30 and 31. Children who will be age 4 on or before August 26 are eligible for the 4K program and children who will be age 5 on or before August 26, 2009, are eligible for kindergarten (5K). Please note that students who are currently enrolled in the 4K program, do not need to re-register for 5K. Please contact Stacy Morton at 485- 4438, ext. 244, to schedule an appointment.
Census Testing Testing for local census jobs is currently being given at several sites throughout Fulton County. Testing sites include locations at McConnellsburg, Hustontown, Warfordsburg, Wells Tannery, Needmore Harrisonville. Call 1-866-861-2010 to schedule testing time and to learn information about ID to bring, veterans preference, etc. These short-term jobs provide for paid training, competitive wages and mileage and flexible hours. Practice tests are available online and at the sites.

SF Registration Southern Fulton School District will be having pre- K registration March 5 and 6. Anyone having children who will be 3 or 4 years old before September 1 should call the school at 717-294-3400 to schedule an appointment.
AARP Tax Aide Free tax help for taxpayers with middle and low income will be available at the old Fulton Theatre, in back of F&M Bank on North Second Street, McConnellsburg, every Wednesday beginning February 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Free e-filing. Taxes will be done for any age. No rentals, farms or businesses will be done. More information may be obtained by calling 987-3915. Do not have to be an AARP member. No parking on F&M's parking lot.
Gardening Workshop The public is invited to attend a free sustainable gardening workshop Saturday, February 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse, 200 Douglas Street, Hancock.
