There was just enough snow to let us know we still have winter. We hear some of Pennsylvania got more.

Our sympathy is extended tothe family and relatives of Scott Hoover, who passed away last week due to an accident with a horse.

Glad to report Betty Malot was able to return home after her long stay at Shook Home for

Rehabilitation. Hope she continues on to a full recovery. Some upcoming

events will be happening in the future: a big bingo bonanza at Hustontown Firehall Friday, April 26. Doors open at noon and kitchen will be open. Mother's Day smorgasbord at firehall on Sunday, May 10, at 11:00 a.m.

Hustontown Fire Co. also has afghans for sale. Large ones are $39. Colors are cranberry, green, navy blue. Call 987-3108 or 987- 3115. The afghans have pictures on them telling the history of Hustontown.

Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor a car show Saturday, July 18. You folks with cars for show will have time to prepare.

We send get well wishes to Bill Parsons, who has been having some physical problems.

Also get well wishes to Alice Walker, who has been having some treatments.

Household hint: Freeze a frosted cake, then wrap it. The wrapping won't stick to the frosting. Also, remove the wrapping before thawing the cake for serving.
