The Southern Fulton Indians fell to Northern Bedford again Wednesday evening, dropping the Sideling Hill League match by only five points. Josh Hall managed 12 points, and Luke Mellott netted nine points. Teammate Zach Leasure was the next highest scorer with six points.
FCCCS 57, Calvary Christian 12
Calvary Christian only managed 12 points and put up little fight against Fulton County Community Christian School, which dominated Friday's match and prevailed with a 57-12 victory. Seth Gordon had 12 points for the Chargers, who also received nine points from teammates Skylar Gordon and T.J. Leedy.
Southern Fulton 60,
McConnellsburg 43
Southern Fulton used a big offensive effort in the third quarter Friday evening to down the McConnellsburg Spartans by a whopping 17 points. Jesse Smartt sunk 14 points for the Indians, and Josh Hall and Andrew Merica added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Devin Petty-John and Nathan Swope both dumped in 11 points for the Spartans.
Fannett-Metal 48, Forbes Road 43
In spite of three Forbes Road Cardinals reaching double digits Friday night, it wasn't enough against the Fannett-Metal Tigers, who prevailed by five points. Trent Black managed 14 points for the Cardinals, who also received 11 and 10 points, respectively, from Jesse Newman and Brandon Mellott. Tanner Henry fouled out after tallying eight points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots.
Bishop Walsh 69,
Southern Fulton 53
Southern Fulton only outscored Bishop Walsh in the final period of Saturday's game and ended the non-league match in a 69-53 loss. Josh Hall led the Indians with 14 points, and Josh Wertz followed with 11. Luke Mellott wrapped up the match with seven points and eight rebounds.
