Big Cove Tannery, 14

Scott D. Hoover, 14, Big Cove Tannery, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at Hershey Medical Center.

He was born in McConnellsburg February 11, 1994, the son of Sidney S. Hoover of Hustontown and Wendy M. (Keefer) Farling of Big Cove Tannery.

He was an eighth-grade student at McConnellsburg Middle School and always greeted everyone with a smile on his face. He was a member of Cove Mountain 4-H Club, an avid animal lover who enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking care of his rabbits and also enjoyed raising rabbits and pigs for the Fulton County Fair.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sister Emily Hoover of Big Cove Tannery and stepsister Marissa Hoover, Hustontown; stepbrothers: Garet Farling, Big Cove Tannery; Johnathan Farling, Big Cove Tannery; and Ian Farling, Big Cove Tannery; stepmother, Wendy Hoover, Hustontown; stepfather, Jesse Farling, Big Cove Tannery; paternal grandparents: Dixie and Clark Hoover, Hustontown; maternal grandparents: Gene and Harriet Keefer, Big Cove Tannery, and great-grandfather, Edgar E. Keefer, Big Cove Tannery.

Funeral services will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 13. Pastor Sam Sollenberger will officiate. Burial will be made in Union Cemetery.

There will be visitation on Thursday, February 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., Mc- Connellsburg. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
