15-Year-Old Boy Charged In Rape And Attempted Rape

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in eastern Pennsylvania say a 15-year-old boy raped a teen at knifepoint and attempted to rape another girl the following day before police intervened.

Authorities say the attacks occurred this week in Allentown, where the suspect lives.

Police say the boy followed a 14-year-old girl down a street Monday before holding a knife to her throat. Police say he robbed her of $2 before taking her to another area and raping her.

On Tuesday, police say the boy tried to rape a 13-year-old girl in a convenience store parking lot but was interrupted by a neighbor who yelled at him. Police soon arrived and arrested him after a scuffle.

The Lehigh County district attorney withheld the boy's name because of his age. He is being charged with rape, attempted rape, robbery and other offenses.
