Everett 48, Forbes Road 43

In spite of Forbes Road Cardinal Jesse Newman scoring 25 points Monday night it wasnít enough for the Cardinals to prevail over the victorious Everett Warriors. Newman also added four assists and three steals, and Trent Black had 11 points.

Southern Fulton 58, Hyndman 36

Southern Fulton jumped out to a quick lead Monday night and cruised onto a 58-36 victory over the Hyndman Hornets. Indians teammates Derek Younker and Josh Hall both netted 13 points, and Luke Mellott contributed nine points, six rebounds and three steals.

Chestnut Ridge 48,

McConnellsburg 35

McConnellsburg narrowed Chestnut Ridge's lead to three points Monday night, but Ridge fought back and widened the deficit for a 48-35 league win. Ryan Defibaugh wrapped up the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Nathan Swope added five points, and Jarrod Appleby and Dwayne McNear both had four.

Forbes Road 59,

McConnellsburg 32

Jesse Newman netted 25 points to lead the Forbes Road Cardinals onto a 59-32 victory Friday evening over county rival, the McConnellsburg Spartans. Newman was assisted by teammate Trent Black, who tallied 14 points and 12 rebounds. Tanner Henry also had 12 rebounds. Ryan Defibaugh led the Spartans with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Northern Bedford 44,

McConnellsburg 31

The Northern Bedford Panthers picked up their second win of the season against the Mc- Connellsburg Spartans Saturday, clinching the league match by the final score of 44-31. Ryan Defibaugh hit double digits for the Spartans and led both teams with 19 points and eight rebounds. Jarrod Appleby added five points and four assists.

FCCCS 33, Shalom Christian JV 28

Fulton County Community Christian School rallied for nine shots from the field, which included a total of seven three pointers, to outlast the Shalom Christian junior varsity team 33- 28 Friday evening. Kenny Lininger led the Fulton County Chargers with 14 points, and Seth and Skylar Gordon both added six points.

Fannett-Metal 48,

Southern Fulton 34

Southern Fulton only netted a total of six points between the first and third quarter of Friday night's game, which ended in a disappointing 48-34 loss to the Fannett-Metal Tigers. Josh Hall tallied 14 points to lead the Indians, who also received five points and five assists from Andrew Merica.

Davidville Christian 41, FCCCS 36

Fulton County Community Christian School let its lead to slip away following the halftime break Monday night, allowing Davidville Christian to secure a victory by only five points. T.J. Leedy had 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Seth Gordon added 10 points, seven steals and five assists.

McConnellsburg 36,

CV Christian 27

Two McConnellsburg Lady Spartans reached double figures Monday evening during an 11- point win over Cumberland Valley Christian. Rachel Porterfield had 13 points, and Courtney Mc- Clure had a close 12 points. Michelle Baker added seven rebounds, seven steals and eight assists.

Mount Union 47, Forbes Road 29

The Forbes Road Cardinal offense shot a dismal 14.5 percent from the field and fell by 18 points to Mount Union Monday evening. Kaili Hockensmith and Stephanie Worthing both tallied seven points to lead the Cardinals. Ky Fraker finished up the non-league game with six points.

Shalom Christian JV 35,


Fulton County Community Christian School only managed nine points Friday night dropping the non-league game against the Shalom Christian junior varsity squad by the score of 35-9. Jenae Gordon had six points, and Andrea Leedy added three points. Meanwhile, Josie Spade pulled down nine boards.

Southern Fulton 51,

Fannett-Metal 42

After a slow start in the opening quarter of Thursday evening's league match, Southern Fulton's offense ignited and ran away for a 51-42 win over the Fannett- Metal Tigers. Natasha Bard reached double digits both offensively and defensively with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Brooke Whiteside and Lacey Beatty each poured in nine points, and Beatty also added five assists and eight steals. Chelsey Hollenshead finished with eight points and 11 rebounds.

McConnellsburg 41,

Forbes Road 34

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans broke a three-game losing streak Thursday night, defeating the Forbes Road Cardinals 41-34. J.J. DeShong rallied for 10 points and two assists, and teammate Desiree Petty-John contributed eight points. Ky Fraker and Kaili Hockensmith both netted 11 points for the Cardinals.

FCCCS 39, Davidville Christian 30

Josie Spade and Jenae Gordon scored all but six of the Fulton County Community Christian School's 39 points Monday night and led their teammates onto a 39-30 win over Davidville Christian. Spade and Gordon had 17 and 16 points, respectively, and Andrea Leedy netted the team's remaining six points and also added six rebounds and 11 assists.
