By Kate Berkstresser

What a beautiful day was enjoyed on Sunday, but I'm sure it was just a teaser as we have a lot of winter days left.

Our prayers and speedy recovery wishes to Scott Hoover, who was kicked by a horse last week.

Happy birthday wishes to Bonnie Miller, February 1;

Damien Divens, February 8; Alice Sipes, February 9; and Curtis

Seville, February 10.

Rev. Diane Stotler will be guest speaker on Sunday, February 8, at Knobsville United Methodist Church.

Happy anniversary to Dave and Nora Boyer, February 12.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Miles Horne, who passed away last week.

Glad to hear Bill Henry got a good report from his physical recently.

Congratulations to Reed and Linda Englert, who have an anniversary this week.

Household hint: Shoe coverings - Plastic food storage bags make great shoe covers when you're working in muddy gardens, etc. Slip two bags over each shoe and secure them with rubberbands around the ankles instead of dealing with muddy boots. Just discard bags when you are done outside.
