Tom and Mamie Streightiff and Gene, Nancy and Travis Cornelius enjoyed dinner on Thursday evening at the Red Lobster restaurant in Chambersburg. Travis thought the meal was almost as good as his favorite Ryan's restaurant.

Attending the SHC girl's basketball game from the Huntingdon area on Saturday night were Chuck Streightiff, Jeff Miles and Jeff Buckley.

Also attending the game were Dan, Robyn, Kolton and Alayna Gaff, Tom and Mamie Streightiff and Steve and Karen Grissinger. Kolton was really baffled by twins Chuck and Tom Streightiff. Even a show of driver's license was quite enough to convince him.

Amanda Locke and Terri Grissinger were in Hershey on Saturday for Amanda's medical test. Tammy Grissinger visited with Matt, Emily and Mason Mentzer of Biglerville on Saturday.

Scottie Hoover of McConnellsburg was kicked in the chest by a horse and is a patient at Hershey. We wish him a speedy recovery. Please keep his family in your prayers. >

Joe, Melanie and Dison Myers hosted a Super Bowl get-together with Betty Ramsey and Mike and Teressa Souders. > With all the good munchies, everyone was to full to celebrate the big Steelers's victory.

Pat Ramsey and Karen Grissinger enjoyed a mid-winter lunch outing on Saturday at Bella's in Mount Union.

Buzz and Bea Covert enjoyed the Super Bowl at the home of Andy, Tasha, Shaine and Kean Goshorn. Shaine and Kean spent Monday evening visiting with the Covert's.

Several folks from the Maddensville area took in the cold but stunning "Ice Fest" in Chambersburg over the weekend. There were more than 50 ice statutes to see.

Three Springs Fire Co. is hosting bingo every Wednesday evening in its new facility, with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Visiting recently in the home of Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger were Brent Carlson, Travis Madden, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, and Dan, Robyn, Kolton and Alayna Gaff. Steelers fans were pleased with the outcome of the game especially after the last tense minutes of the game.

Pesticide update meetings for Fulton County are scheduled for February 11 at the McConnellsburg High School, February 18 at the Southern Fulton High School and February 26 at the Forbes Road High School. All meetings are scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m.

Hustontown Fire Co. will be holding shooting matches every Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. The shoot this Saturday will be a 410 shoot.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner, falling on a Saturday this year. Immanuel Bible Church has a planned dinner for Valentine's Day at Ryan's restaurant in Chambersburg.
