Two Collide In Licking Creek

Two vehicles collided along Route 420 in Licking Creek Township on Monday, January 19, leaving one driver with a small laceration to the head. Fortyfour year-old James A. Laughlin Jr. was wearing a seat belt and only suffered a minor injury when his westbound 1992 Chevrolet Astro was struck by an oncoming 1997 Dodge Dakota driven by a 17-year-old Harrisonville boy.

The teen lost control of his vehicle, state police reported, while rounding a curve in the roadway at 12:34 p.m. The teen was wearing a seat belt and escaped harm but will be charged with driving on the right side of the roadway.
