Penny C. Schetrompf Hancock, 38

Penny Charlene Schetrompf, 38, Hancock, Md., died Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born August 22, 1970, in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of Homer E. Schetrompf Jr. and Donna M. Moats Schetrompf of Hancock.

She was a 1988 graduate of Hancock High School.

She was employed by Little Sandy's Truck Stop in Hancock.

She was a member of Webster B. Harrison American Legion Post 26 Auxiliary of Hancock.

She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hancock.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters: Santana B. Schetrompf and Brooklyn C. McCusker, both at home; two brothers: Homer E. Schetrompf III, Berkeley Springs, and Mark A. Schetrompf, Waynesboro; grandfather Ira Moats Jr., Warfordsburg; and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Services were held Friday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Hancock. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt Jr. officiated. Burial was made in Damascus Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery.

Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to help defray funeral expenses to Mr. and Mrs. Homer Schetrompf, 212 Terrace St., Hancock, MD 21750.
