FCMC Gets Ready To GO RED For Women

Circle February 6 in red on your calendars. That's the day FCMC will join the American Heart Association (AHA's) fight against heart disease by holding Wear Red Day.

Everyone is encouraged to participate by wearing red to work and donating $5 to help the AHA raise women's awareness of cardiovascular disease and empower women to reduce their risk. With a $5 donation to the AHA, donors will receive a free EKG, blood pressure screening, and lunch to learn seminar. FCMC Go Red day begins at 8 a.m. and runs through 2 p.m. in the main lobby. The lunch-tolearn seminar featuring staff cardiologist Dr. Michael T. Donahue speaking on women's heart health, will be held in the resident dining room from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Just bring brown bag lunch or purchase a meal from our cafeteria and dine during the informal presentation.

FCMC is proud to be joining the AHA and concerned companies and organizations across America in the fight against the #1 killer of women - as well as men. Wear Red Day is a chance for to arm yourself with knowledge about this devastating disease and to raise funds to help the AHA advance its research and education efforts.
