Sgt. Joshua Crowder, U.S. Army, visited family over the holidays. He returned from a 15- month deployment in Iraq in October and is currently stationed in Germany and has returned to his post there.

Kay McBeath remains a patient in a Pittsburgh hospital

after a fall at her home last week. Anyone wishing to send her a

Wouldn't it be thrilling to see both Pennsylvania football teams at the Super Bowl? Just one week and we will know.

Fred and Linda Black celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on January 5 and Bob and Teresa Carter celebrated their eighth on January 7.

The Giant Food Store held its Christmas employee dinner on Saturday night at the American Legion.

Vesta Hull of Big Cove Tannery is now a resident in Fulton County Medical Center Extended Care Unit. Vesta fell a few weeks ago at her home.

Aaron Ott of Colorado visited with his parents, Mitch Ott and Elen Ott, over the holidays.

Sympathy goes out to the family of Doris "Tootie" Ford of Orrtanna, who passed away last week. Her son, Denny Ritchey, and wife Nancy and family and a sister, Donna Garlock, and husband Bob live here.
