On Sunday Betty Ramsey had a belated birthday celebration at the Texas Roadhouse in State College. Joining the party were Bill, Molly, Ashley, Emily and Pete Ramsey, Kim and Ed Stevens, Joe, Melanie, Cody and Dison Myers and Terri Johnston. Later in the evening cake and ice cream were enjoyed while taking in the Steelers win.

Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger, Travis Madden and Maddison Wible attended the PA Farm Show on Sunday afternoon. Others attending from this area were Charles "Moose" Harper, George Harper and Harold Harper and grandson and Mr. and Mrs. John Starr. The ice gave some a late start but by mid afternoon the crowds were thick. As always, we enjoyed the great food and facts about PA agriculture.

Roger and Pat Ramsey attended a showing of the new movie, "Marley and Me" this weekend at the Hagerstown Cinemas.

Three Springs Fire Company is hosting bingo every Wednesday evening in their new facility with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Three Springs Fire Company is also hosting a ham dinner this Sunday, January 18 beginning at 11 a.m. Take-outs or dine-in is available.

Visiting recently in the home of Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger were Brent Carlson, Travis Madden, Maddison Wible and Tom and Mamie Streightiff.

A pesticide update meeting will be held on January 22 at the Southern Huntingdon County High School from 7 to 9 p.m. On February 10, an update will be held at the Huntingdon Co. Extension Office from 7 to 9 p.m. The third update will be held at the extension office on February 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Hustontown Fire Co. is holding an open stage event on January 24 beginning at 6 p.m. Kitchen and doors will open at 5 p.m.

Fire company auxiliary members are reminded to pay their dues for 2009.

Regular shooting matches will be held on January 17 and 24 beginning at 1 p.m. On January 31, it will be a quarter of beef shoot.

Steve, Karen and Tammy Grissinger had dinner with Mike, Patty, Chris and Kevin Pintozzi and Marty, Denise and Brian Sinkiewicz on Saturday evening. The center of attention was the new puppy, Sophie. Earlier in the day, the guys along with Steve, Travis Madden and Brent Carlson attended their first shooting match at Hustontown Firehall.

Congratulations to Bow Ramsey, son of Ashley Ramsey, who received first place in the Mount Union Wrestling Tournament on January 3. He received fourth place in the Huntingdon Bearcat Tournament and will advance on to the Gene Mills tournament in New York City in May.
