Frank D. Woodal
Frank D. Woodal, 82, Needmore, died Thursday, December 25, 2008, at his residence.
Born in McConnellsburg December 27, 1925, he was the son of the late Frank D. Woodal Sr. and Edith Mae (Peck) Woodal. He was the husband of Rhoda Belle (Spade) Woodal, whom he married on July 28, 1956.
He was of the Protestant faith, enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the American Legion Post 0026, Hancock. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, owner/oeprator of Woodal Trucking in Needmore and later a newspaper carrier for the Herald Mail.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Tommy A. Woodal, Needmore; a daughter, Tammy E. Reitober, Needmore; a sister, Charlotte Stahle, Needmore; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a greatgreat grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold R. Woodal.
Funeral services were held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30. Rev. Donald Preston officiated. Burial was made in Union Cemetery.
Military services were conducted by Fulton Honor Guard.
