Driver Dies When Car Hits Pa. Firehouse And Burns
HILLTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a speeding car knocked down a utility pole and then crashed into a fire station, killing the driver and setting the building ablaze in suburban Philadelphia.
Authorities say the crash occurred early Friday in Hilltown Township, in Bucks County.
Firefighters from Bucks and Montgomery counties fought the two-alarm fire.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene but was not immediately identified.
No firefighters were injured, but at least two of three vehicles inside the station were reported damaged.
