Tree Of Love Ceremony Held At FCMC

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

Despite a very cold night, the Fulton County Medical Center Auxiliary Tree of Love Ceremony was held in the activities room of the new Fulton County Medical Center last Sunday evening. Rev. Richard Bernhard opened the ceremony with an invocation. Betty Shelley, auxiliary president welcomed everyone and led the auxiliary prayer.

With spectators watching through the wall of windows, the Tree of Love was lit. Auxiliary members Shelley, Sandy Land, Sally Cover and Sarah Gordon read the hundreds of names aloud, beginning with the memory listing, followed by the inhonor of listing. Dick and Esther Miller entertained the crowd with a few hymns and Christmas carols.

Jason Hawkins, CEO, gave the closing remarks and Rev. Bernhard gave the benediction. Guests enjoyed refreshments and conversation before leaving for the evening.
