Modern Woodmen Club Leader Achieves Merit Status

Modern Woodmen of America, a national provider of fraternal financial services and programs, recently honored Cheryl Cutshall, McConnellsburg, for outstanding leadership of kids. A Modern Woodmen Youth Service Club leader for six years, Cutshall led the McConnellsburg club to merit status in 2008.

Youth service clubs provide Modern Woodmen members age 16 and younger with opportunities to vounteer, be patriotic, learn new skills, make friends and have fun. Adult Modern Woodmen members lead the clubs and organize activities.

Merit club status is an honor Modern Woodmen awards each year to recognize club leaders for top-level performance. Judging in the merit club contest is based on the quality and the quantity of meetings, programs and community service activities held during the year. Modern Woodmen supports more than 700 youth clubs throughout the United States. Only the top leaders nationwide received merit status.
