River Oaks Helpline Offers Christian-Based Counseling

River Oaks Ministries has announced the opening of the River Oaks Helpline (717-325-4200).

The vision of River Oaks Helpline is to be a resource of assistance and support in the local community by providing a free, confidential Christian helpline/ prayer line that anyone can call to find help for spiritual, emotional or physical needs. River Oaks also serves as a resource for information on agencies, programs and services that can provide further assistance to people in need.

River Oaks can help with many kinds of issues, including: abortion, addiction, AIDS/HIV, anger management, boundaries, codependecy, crisis pregnancy, depression, divorce, domestic violence, depression, financial assistance, grief, homosexuality, loneliness, mental illness, rejection, sexual addiction and shelter.

Christian volunteers from many denominations in the local community will staff River Oaks Helpline, which is open seven days a week from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

River Oaks provides a variety of training courses designed to prepare the Christian lay person for personal ministry within their families, workplaces and communities.
