The middle school time will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the high school time will be from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The whole middle school will compete for the title of 2008 Snowball Prince and Princess and eight high school couples will compete for 2008 Snowball King and Queen. Both the middle school and high school will be asking for donations to help their voted-on community service projects: American Cancer Society and helping to save the old MHS building. Students will be collecting donations from now and until December 12 at 3:30 p.m. The following high school couples are competing: seniors - Brionna Johnston and James Andrews; freshman - Emily Watkins and junior Jordan Bolinger; seniors - Sarah Brady and Devon Petty-John; seniors - Mariah Shimer and Paul Strait; juniors - Angie Baughman and Jesse Wible; freshman - Kady Kerlin-Seville and junior Evan Lynch; sophomore Taylor Morton and junior Ron Snyder; and freshman Melissa DeShong and junior Darren Hoffman.
Last year the middle school raised $ 2,271 and the high school raised $3,345.58 for their community service projects. The 2007 King Robert Shehan, Queen Taylor Morton, Prince Forrest Plessinger and Princess Kylie Pine extend their thanks for the many supporters last year and encourage everyone to support the McConnellsburg youths in their endeavor to help others. If everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot!
