State police were sent to 477 Heritage Drive, McConnellsburg, at 2:50 p.m. Monday afternoon, November 17, for an incident involving 20-yearold Tyeisha Marie Spriggs. Troopers attempted to physically take Spriggs into custody but were met with resistance. Spriggs allegedly threatened the troopers and was arrested following a short scuffle. Spriggs also reportedly attempted to kick out the window of a patrol car after being arrested.
Spriggs was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott, who sent her to Franklin County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. Charges against Spriggs include two felony counts of aggravated assault against a police officer, two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of resisting arrest, two counts of criminal mischief and one count of disorderly conduct.
