Get well wishes to Lester Swope, Lewis Fleck, Peggy Sue Runk and Mary Mort, who all recently had surgery.

Gordon and Donna Locke attended a nail-biter of a football playoff game on Saturday for grandson Cameron Locke. His team, the Shippensburg

Greyhounds, defeated the Big Spring Colts in the division playoff game at Greencastle. Cameron's team came home with a large trophy for their division win.

Visiting in the home of Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger this week were Travis Madden, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Buzz and Bea Covert, Amanda Yocum, Gordon and Donna Locke, Nora Grissinger, and Brent Carlson.

Tammy Grissinger visited with Luke Johnson of Mt. Holly Springs on Sunday afternoon.

Terri Grissinger traveled to Bellefonte on Friday evening for the FFA recordbook judging contest. Traveling home on Saturday, Terri saw two bears checking out the middle of the road in Meadow Gap.

Congratulations to Mike, Mandy, Aaron and Mike Snyder Jr. on the move into their new house.

Walnut Grove junior and senior youth groups were rollerskating in Lewistown last week. Congratulations to Shelly Long for holding on to her crown as queen of the skating routine "Shoot the Duck".

On Saturday evening, Walnut Grove senior youth group held a scavenger hunt with three teams. The girls were the winners, of course, but they would like to give the two boys teams an A for effort.

The senior youth are planning a Christmas party and caroling event for Sunday, December 14, at the fellowship building.

Walnut Grove junior and senior youth groups are currently holding a non-perishable food drive through November 30 with the items being donated to the local food bank.

Thanksgiving Eve services will be held at Immanuel Bible Church.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor shooting matches every Saturday until further notice beginning at 1 p.m.
